Weekend Festivals: Day of the Dog, Bluegrass and Folk, Bonsai, and not one but TWO bonuses...
If your anti-rain dances work, and we get a break from this dreary drizzle...which isn't looking likely, unfortunately...this where I will and wanna be this weekend - with special Monday and Tuesday bonuses to start your week because WINE AND HISTORY and CHARTREUSE.
Saturday: First, FREE community yoga at the Kennedy Center, of course! 10:15-11:15am led by Ellen Devine in the Grand Foyer. Save the Date for June 24 when I will be teaching!
Then, weather-willing, kayaking around Kingman Island for a glimpse and listen of the Bluegrass and Folk Festival.
Sunday: Treat the moms in your life to either the Day of the Dog festival at Congressional Cemetery, 10am-3pm. I'll be manning the Ball-oney pit from 11:30-1:30pm!
Or treat them to the World Bonsai Festival at the U.S. National Arboretum. Mom's love that shit.
The first bonus is a Monday event - the 2nd Annual Wine History After Hours! Pair the perfect glass of vino with a side of vino and wash it down in the hallowed halls of the Smithsonian.
But wait, there's more! I'm actually taking you all the way through Tuesday which is the second bonus: World Chartreuse Day! The Passenger has this uniquely-tinted French liquer on TWO taps, and will be hosting a public celebration of #1605chartreuse from 9:30pm to "close/death."
Happy Weekending! Cheers!
